I am a fourth year Linguistics student at the University of Saskatchewan who is offering tutoring for beginners in French, German, and Latin, as well as for anyone learning English as a second language. My qualifications are as follows. French: -9 years of French Immersion -4 Terms of university level French (Currently completing Advanced French Expression) German: -3 years of high school German -3 months spent attending a German high school as an exchange student. -Language competence Level A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (Certified through enrollment in night classes). -3 additional months spent travelling independently in German-speaking countries. Latin -Currently completing 6th term of university Latin. -Enrolled in a 400 level course. -Have experience reading Cicero, Catullus, Ovid, and Virgil. English -English is my first language. -Because of my time spent learning other languages, I have become acquainted with effective teaching methods, and also know which ones to avoid. I am well aware of what it is like to begin learning a new language for the first time. I have been learning languages other than my native English from an early age, and am excited to share my love of languages with others and help beginners rise to the rewarding challenge of learning a new language.
