My name is Jessica. I am 25 and I am from Ireland. I have recently moved to Toronto from Scotland, where I completed my Teacher training course and worked as an elementary school teacher (Grade 2). I am a qualified primary school teacher with lots of experience in working with young children. I have worked with children from the age of 1 to 12.I feel that the early childhood period is an essential time for young children to develop skills for life long learning and I am enthusiastic in giving young children the opportunity to develop such skills..... I believe that a learning environment should be active and allow young children to learn through play, I have developed many fun and educational games. I truly believe in the Emergent Curriculum used in Canada as I believe that young children are more motivated to learn when they have a particular interest in a topic. As a teacher, I have incorporated the children’s interest when planning all of my lessons in order to raise attainment.I am a hard worker and one hundred percent dedicated to help children achieve their full potential. I am also enthusiastic to engage children in the learning process and always prepare lessons to a high standard. I am available to tutor children in all areas of the curriculum at an Elementary school level.
