My name is Christina and I am 28-years-old. I am a student at FTCC getting my Associate's in Science, and under the transfer curriculum. At first my intentions were to get my Ph.D. in Biology, and I wanted to work in medical research. I actually have a Lab in my house. Recently I changed my mind, again. I was always a great student, however I've always been a free spirit, and I rebelled, a lot. Those problems are over now, as I have a 5-year-old son, and have grown up. I am half Greek and half Portuguese. I was raised extremely traditional. I have been to Greece 17 times, Portugal twice. I was born in Germany and lived there a total of 6 years (2 different tours). I have also lived in Korea and traveled around Asia and Europe. When I turned 20, I didn't want to go to school anymore, so I left. I joined a traveling sales crew and traveled the US for almost 4 years. I learned so much, and still go out with the company during school breaks a couple times a year. I also conduct the hiring process for the company at home to earn a little extra cash. I came home about 5 years ago and decided to get my life straight. I am still spontaneous and fun, I just toned it down. I am an excellent role model with kids and adolescents. I can relate to them, and I am very honest. I have been in Fayetteville, NC for on and off 12 years. My goal is to save money and buy a travel trailer and travel the world, country by country. Besides sales and restaurants, I had a year of volunteer experience in the office of Big Brothers Big Sisters, which turned into a job before they closed. I also worked with the Autism Society for a couple years with a child from my church. I recently started working as a freelancer online, which led to a full-time position with an essay-writing organization. I love working with them. I have always loved writing, and I take a lot of pride in my work. I have always excelled in English and Math. I have won several spelling bees and writing contests. I graduated high school with a 3.6GPA and in college I have never been below a 3.5 GPA. I got a 1350 on my SAT (It was the 1600 version) and I also took my ACT. I don't remember my exact scores, but I know they were high. When I decided to return to college I had to retake the accuplacer. Like a dummy, I didn't study except for about an hour before I took the test, but still passed it with flying colors. I tested out of all prerequisites. I am a Native American English speaker and speak Greek as my second language. I know how to read, write, understand, and speak Greek. Even though I was raised with my mom talking to me a lot in Greek, I took 6 years of Greek School as a child and graduated the program before high school. When it comes to science, I LOVE LEARNING SCIENCE. Like I said, I have my own lab. I run my own experiments. If you have any questions, PLEASE feel free to contact me. SUBJECTS **Computer skills for Microsoft, Chrome, and Apple: Setup, operating, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook), Windows XP- Windows 8. 1 and RT, typing, settings, applications, basic javascript, internet, clouds, etc., social media, and how to use their cell phones: set-up, applications, settings, operating, texting, calling, etc. (Android, Windows, or Apple). I think these are skills all people need these days. **Pre-Algebra, Algebra, College Algebra, Statistics, Logic, Trigonometry and high school geometry are the math's I am proficient in. **K-12 Sciences, college Biology. I know basic chemistry but cannot teach beyond a high school level. I do have a lab and love working hands on experiments. **Any aspect of English: Spelling, Grammar, Reading, Literature, Writing, Poetry; I can help.
