Tutor in Lubbock, Texas

I'm an
Individual
I am a college student who has a background with tutoring. I am only on here because I usually tutor through my school, and we're not getting much work right now. I charge 15$ an hour for all math classes from middle school through high school (except AP Calculus in high school) and 20$ an hour for collegiate level courses. And depending on circumstances, we can also strike up a deal of some sort if it helps. I'm a pretty cool person about helping people that have trouble affording lessons. I'm really easy to get along with, and I excel where most tutors do not, because I used to be bad at math, and now it's my major, so I know where a lot of math problems are coming from. Please contact me if you want to set up an appointment, and I do the first half hour for free as a trial run (unless you really just want to give me the money anyways for the trial half hour). So please contact me by phone and we'll set up an appointment. By the way, I'm cheap so that I can reach more clients in the area, not because I'm a bad tutor. I figured you should know. Also, if you are an education major who has to take that education math test, that is also $20 an hour. I don't know what the test is called, but you education majors know. Thanks for considering me! I forgot to say this until just now, so that's why this is in a random spot. The best way I would describe my tutoring style is that I am a "gap filler." Professors and teachers alike will skip a lot, or they'll have simple problems they go over in class, and the homework has really complex problems that students feel like they don't have the skills to solve. I am what you would call a "gap filler" because where teachers see a step as a nontrivial aspect of common sense, I see an extra line of explanation to the student. I also go above and beyond by giving out worksheets, little handouts that I write that further explain concepts, and things like that. I do that free of charge. If I feel like I need to explain a concept further, I usually write a little handout for the student, that I then give to other students that are experiencing the same problem. It's free of charge because it helps me out in my other tutoring sessions. I will also help out your student as much as I can outside of our tutoring times. I try to go as in detail as possible about everything, not so I can be condescending, but so I can be as effective as possible. So please, give me a call, and I'll do my best to help your student, or you. -Jaime (which is pronounced like Jamie, even though I know that the way I spelled it is Spanish. The reason it's like this is because my parents don't know Spanish. Thanks!)
