I am experienced in proctoring entrance level ESL exams as well as tutoring english as a second language with the International Centre for English Academic Preparation (ICEAP). I have also completed a cooperative education placement as a teacher's aide at an elementary school in the past. These opportunities have given me the ability to work well with both children and adults in a school setting; as well as the ability to work past language barriers and learning disabilities both patiently and efficiently. In my lessons I promote hands on learning and I encourage plenty of communication, there are no stupid questions when it comes to learning. For English as a first language I prefer to work with children between the ages of 5-11 (grades primary to six). For English as a second language my experience is with young adults between the ages of 18-30 at an entrance level but I have no preference of age when it comes to ESL.
