I am currently a Primary teacher at one of the top Private School's in Vancouver. I have a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education specializing in Kindergarten Integrated Primary from UBC. I have an Additional Qualification Certification in Reading and Literacy in the primary grades from Queen’s University and I am currently pursuing my Masters in Educational Leadership at Queen’s as well. I offer tutoring for students aged 3-9 in Language Arts. I am familiar with the most recent Science of Reading research and experienced with the standards required for Private Schools. From pencil grip and concepts of print to reading strategies and comprehension, ensure your child is set up for success by solidifying and enhancing their foundational layers. I have availability both after school and on weekends. My approach to working with students is to provide them with the continuity, consistency, excellence, and thoroughness required for literacy instruction. With my approach, most students can thrive through their reading journey. Students' love of reading will be promoted through a Science of Reading approach, the most recent and innovative research supporting reading instruction.
