I'm an
Individual
Here is the deal. It is never too late to prep. If Ivy League is a dream, or any other school, then those scores matter to increase your chances of scholarships and acceptance. I am a college graduate with years of experience in youth development and the educational system although my degree is not specified to teaching. I have also spent a year abroad getting trained and teaching students test taking strategies to pass the tests. I have also been given permission to use the materials and strategies from the company I previously worked for. To prove to you what I have works, I am putting myself out on the limb and will not only give a decent price, actual practice tests, and decently accurate test score estimates, but I will analyze the strengths and weaknesses of your child, and cater a program to them for as long as necessary or modified to fit the child's time frame. It will be a flat price or your money back. I can't promise a perfect score but I can promise a 100-300 point increase in SAT and a 3-7 point increase in ACT. Each child is different but if your child doesn't improve, i.e. the 100 (for SAT) then you don't pay. This is the 100 point increase from the beginning to the end of my class, not the actual test that is used to get into college because multiple factors can play into that outside of my control like sleep, memory, or test anxiety. I know this works because I improved my own scores (specifically in ACT from a 23 to a 30 ) four years after I have been out of high school. The skills will be helpful for their own studies after they are done with me. This is the case because it is a strategy based class not memory, although that helps too. This also means that with the recent updates and changes of the SAT and ACT specifically, will not be a negative side effect but a relief. I have 2 class options, private courses or a group class. I have materials to teach from and the tests. The only thing your child will pay for (other than the classes) is the necessary books, new, not used, which they can use to study anyways so it won't hurt. Plus, the books are decently priced (about $10 for the SAT, brand new, to give an idea). I will pay for the copies within the basic program (5 tests, test answer sheets, and vocabulary). Any extra time needed outside of this will require extra, but copies are cheap. It has been suggested to me that I ask $20 for something like this but I also know that it doesn't fit for all incomes and all wages of child or parent. The price then would be as follows: $20/hr for private class $10/hr for group (2 )/child $10/hr for private class (if you reference someone who follows through). I may give it to you free if there are more. A class is typically 48 hours broken up for sufficient amount of time. Some students are faster and I will not make the child suffer for what they do not want. I can do more or less as necessary. This can be crashed in a week or a month (or 3) before the test date(s). If you choose to quit earlier than the contracted time and I cannot show improvement without the necessary work, then I ask 50/50 for my time and effort. Same prices will go for IELTS and TOEFL but for more details, you will need to contact me. The company I worked for is called Prodigy Learning Center based in Jakarta, Indonesia. You can visit their site at prodigy-prep...... They are a private company, so you cannot see the prices they offer in that country, but I will be happy to tell you more about the company. You are welcome to meet with me and set up a time to meet. A contract will not be set until after the first test is taken as that would be the deciding point of whether or not you would be continuing. I can do at home studies or a public quiet lounge (like Starbucks or some other laid back facility). If classes take place during the school year, I would be glad to arrange time at their school and arrange it with the school district. You can't lose with this offer. I will even gladly talk about and council as best as I can in admissions to colleges, how they work, and other jargon and navigation with universities. For tutoring verses advice, I may ask for a separate "class." Just contact me by call or text (txt would be better as my ringer is not always on as I may be in other work environments) at show contact info You may also email me by replying to this ad as it will forward it to my personal email. I am based in West Richland but I have reliable transportation to make home visits. If you would like to have me travel outside the tri-cities, I will gladly arrange a day where I can go out once a week (depending on the distance) to have a group class unless arranged otherwise. I may even consider Skype but the child has to be dedicated and able to do something not as face to face. Chloe Garcia www.....com http://....org P.S. for subject based tutoring, lets say geography, I will gladly tutor but I will need the class curriculum (ex. subject of the week/day) to prepare ahead of time the proper materials and lesson plan to help your child. I did this abroad as well. I can also do all ages but for youth or adults, I will need to arrange similar lesson plans.
