Have you ever considered home schooling options with a certified teacher to administer curriculum and complete evaluations? I am a certified teacher in Brevard county and have been teaching for 13 years; I offer an alternative to traditional learning in the public school format, but much more affordable than private school. An "enrolled" student would be declared home-schooled. I supply the curriculum, students receive assignments and instruction via video, Skype/FaceTime, PowerPoint presentations, and through a combination of digital and one on one learning. In person instruction is included every other week in Brevard County. Students can work at their own pace and turn in work as quickly as they like and even finish high school ahead of their peers as I offer year round opportunities to turn in assignments and complete classes. I file all of the paperwork with the district, students do not need to take the FCAT or the EOC exams, and can even be dual enrolled in college courses. All curriculum and instruction is tailored to student interests. All credits transfer to state colleges and are applicable to Bright Futures Scholarship requirements! Students who don't traditionally do well in the public school structure often need more individualized instruction and the ability to complete work at their pace , when and where they want. Home school statistics demonstrate that students using this alternative form of education out score their peers significantly on all standardized tests. Parents are often reluctant to seek out this type of learning due to time constraints and limited proficiency with the traditional school curriculum, in addition to the amount of paperwork and documentation required, things that I take care of for you. An annual evaluation is completed and filed with the local district to monitor student progress and adhere to state guidelines for home schooling options. I also offer virtual hourly tutoring and annual home school evaluations.
