Hello, my name is Helena. I am a high school graduate, university-bound (Princeton University) student looking for extra income. I am extremely energetic, fun, loving, kind, helpful, and intelligent. Although I may still be young, I know that I am qualified to act as a tutor on many levels. I am experienced in almost any subject area (Math, English, French, the Sciences, history, etc.) and I love teaching. I am patient, yet driven; energetic, yet calm; loving, yet stern when needed. To tell you a little bit about myself, my family moved from Belgium when I was about 9 years old. I did not know English upon my arrival, and I struggled to understand the simplest words and phrases thrown at me at school by unknowing students and teachers who didn't know how to interact properly with me yet. It was a stressful experience for me, but shortly after having made the transition, my English had already improved dramatically. Perhaps it was that I was at a critical age, or perhaps it was my zeal and perseverance. Within 6 months, I was for the most part fluent. Now, 9 years later, I plan to pursue a degree in English. That said, I am fluent in Flemish (a dialect of Dutch) and English, as well as nearly fluent in French. I know that I can help you and be your tutor, as well as friend.
