I instruct students in math (pre-algebra, algebra I, algebra II, pre-calculus) and English (reading comprehension, writing, communication). I earned A’s in each of these classes in high school and am very comfortable with the related course material. As an economics major at Berkeley, I use both math and English skills frequently, and can explain concepts in easily understandable ways. I value disciplined work ethic, strong foundations of conceptual understanding, and perseverance with learning. I set high expectations for my students, but I always strive to be empathetic toward individual learning goals and paces. I think that it is very important to form strong, positive connections with my students in addition to instructing them with detail and rigor. My availability is most flexible on Monday, Friday, and Sunday. Any time between 9:30 AM and 5:30 PM is optimal. I am also availble in the morning on Wednesday and Saturday, preferable from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
