Dear Sir/Madam The unique attributes of each child who crosses my path on a daily basis, propels that inner desire to nurture and develop a sense of self-worth in him'her, in an effort to maximize individual student performance.  For the past 7 years I have realized that nothing brings a true sense of joy and satisfaction than to watch a child evolve from the "caterpillar stage into that of a butterfly." As a vibrant team player who usually goes above and beyond the call of duty to ensure the holistic development of each child placed in my care, I tend to employ Collaborative Learning in my classroom as I do agree with Gerlach,1994 that learning is a naturally social act in which the participants talk among themselves and it is through the talk that learning occurs. My flexibility allows me to work under pressure and to adjust to different environments and work conditions in order to produce excellent results. It is this flexible character that will not only limit me to the kindergarten classroom though I garnered my 7 years of work experience in this department. My ability to take on new tasks readily and my willingness to learn and adapt to new material and technology are strong qualities that saw to my success as a Reading Specialist for various age groups over the seven year period. As an enthusiastic volunteer I have served different groups as motivational speaker and participated in numerous teacher training workshops as well. This experience gained from public speaking over the years has enhanced my delivery in the classroom and has played a major role in my ability to keep my students engaged for the duration of each session. My passion for excellence motivates me to keep proper anecdotal records of my students' performance as well as detailed and creative lesson plans. Finally, it is my belief that discipline forms the foundation for success and as such classroom management is of outmost importance.
