I have 5 years of experience providing Language Arts and Math Tutoring for k-8 school students.
I provide homework help tutoring as well as tutoring in grade school Math (up to Algebra/Geometry) and Language Arts (reading comprehension/ vocabulary/ writing. I am also learning how to teach English as a Second Language, as well as basic teaching techniques. I have also tutored for CBEST Math as well. I try to challenge students so that they are engaged with the material they are learning but at the same time it is not too difficult for them. I do this by trying to confirm that they understand a certain concept before moving to the next one.
