According to tradition, when Socrates taught his students he never lectured. Instead, he asked his students a series of questions that progressively led them toward the correct answer. In other words, he helped them to start thinking in the correct way and then allowed them to arrive at their own answers. This is the same approach I tutor my students and allow them to master any subject.
