I am a teacher offering tutoring services for students k-12. I taught 9thand 10th grade English for seven years in the 1980's. I also have been teaching in the elementary grades for the last ten years. I have experience in designing differentiated lessons which will help your struggling student grasp basic concepts and expand those basics into more advanced depths of knowledge. I am in the process of obtaining my National Teaching Standards Board Certification. I have also helped students prepare for college entrance standardized tests through my volunteer work with high school students. I am available to assist students who are presently home-schooling. I will provide tutoring in your home or at a local public location, such as a library. I charge 30 dollars for the first hour to assess where your student is struggling in academics. After that, I charge 45 dollars an hour for which I provide additional materials and direction to online exercises which will continue to help your student practice study skills and access learning in the classroom.
