I am a certified language arts teacher with 5 years of teaching experience. I am currently employed as a middle school, 9th grade and remedial language arts teacher. On top of my level of experience I have a BA in secondary education, language arts and physical education, plus an MS in reading instruction. This means I can instruct reading of all ages! I love what I do in the classroom, but tutoring can be equally rewarding. The ability to work with a child one-on-one is empowering for the student and exciting for me. I am knowledgeable on common core standards, and the new Smarter Balance testing, which will be fully implemented in the next couple years.
