My name is Eva. I am a very down-to-earth, enthusiastic, patient/understanding and empathetic individual. Being widely traveled and having worked and volunteered overseas for several years, i can easily put myself in other's shoes and understand/appreciate their perspective. I've ALWAYS enjoyed and loved the English language ever since i could read and write. I especially enjoyed it when I would use it to analyze and write Shakespeare, short stories, and all types of essays and book reports. In short, I love everything to do with English; including editing/proofreading, so much so that in 2014-201... I earned my TESOL Teaching Diploma from Victoria International Academy in Victoria British Columbia, and have so far been volunteering with EAL/ESL organizations here in Winnipeg, teaching immigrant adults and international university students. In addition to currently looking for a full time job in this area, I also work with the Winnipeg School division both as a Career Development Advisor and Community Support Worker within the Winnipeg Adult Education Centre. With regards to English and ESL/EAL, my interests and strengths are in reading, writing, editing/proofreading, including other comprehension aspects (speaking, listening, etc.), and of course conversation English. I feel its important to first build a mutually understanding and respectful relationship with any one/student at the initial stages, so that both tutor/teacher and student are relaxed, free and calm with each other; thereby focusing the attention on the learning and lesson at hand.
