I am a retired teacher with 28 years experience. My undergraduate degree was changed from Biochemistry to Linguistics. Ironically, I wound up using my chemistry, biology, physics and calculus credits as "electives." But that doesn't mean I didn't do well in each at the University of California San Diego where I earned my BA. I also earned a Master's of Education in the Philosophy of Education from the University of Utah. My MEd emphasized Cultural Foundations, Women's Studies, and Socio/Economic Dynamics. Along with my career in education, I also worked for two years as a linguist and professional editor. I will work for $25/hr. locally, and if I need to travel to serve your specific needs, the higher rate can be negotiated.
