Below is a list of fields I am capable of tutoring in: MATH: basic math, pre-algebra, algebra I & II, trigonometry, geometry, statistics, linear algebra FASHION ILLUSTRATION: figure sketching, fabric rendering, illustration using paint or markers SEWING/TAILORING: Couture sewing, construction of a suit, draping and patternmaking, using the sewing machine Math: My grandfather was a mathematician so I have a natural talent in mathematics. I passed my ap calculus course with an A and was ranked the top student in the class. I have tutored in the past for students who felt they have understood equational problems better when I taught them as opposed to afterschool tutoring. Fashion Illustration: I graduated with a BFA in Fashion Design at parsons the New School for Design. I can be able to teach you how to sketch that allows you to look at the figure as a form as well as the importance of studying its anatomy. I can also teach you how to render your designs that looks like the fabric as well as how to properly use markers or paints to design your sketches. Sewing/Tailoring: I apprenticed for highly-sought out masters such as a Savile Row bespoke tailor and a former Jacques Fath couture head patternmaker. I can be able to teach you how to use the sewing machine, construct a suit from start to finish, hand sewing techniques, how to handsew a buttonhole, finishing techniques, how to transfer a drape into patternpieces. I can also teach embroidery techniques that I learned during my trip to paris working with Lesage, who creates embroideries for Chanel. Note: I am not responsible for any supplies. You must purchase them on your own for me to teach you. If you are working on a project where you need someone to embroider your fabrics, I can do that as well. Depending on the scale as well as complexity of the design, price will vary. I charge $15 for 30-min., $20 for 45 min., $25 for 1 hour CASH ONLY Training will take place either at a cafe or at your home or work (whichever you prefer), however, if it will be done at your home, I charge an additional fee for gas mileage. Must be within a 15-mile radius from Downtown Los Angeles ONLY.
