Does your child need help in math or reading? Individual help may be the answer! I am always amazed at how far my students can go when I'm able to give them individualized instruction. I am a certified teacher with 17 years of experience teaching in private school, public school, homeschool and working at Sylvan Learning Center. I have taught grades 4 through high school algebra (and homeschooled my own children in the younger grades.) I currently teach 5th grade and have found that I have a little extra time on my hands. I'd love to work with your child to give them the knowledge and confidence needed to start the next school year off well. I charge $20 per 1-hour session, or $50 for 3, 1-hour sessions per week. I usually meet my students at the Palmer or Wasilla public library as there seems to be fewer distractions there than there may be at home. I am available on some weekends and during the week, but not usually after 5pm (we are a baseball family!) I also come to the Chugiak area fairly often.
