My name is Ashley and I am a mother of two who returned to school to seek my teaching certification. I have a passion for learning and teaching! There is something truly special about seeing students finally start to grasp a concept and build the confidence of knowing that they CAN do it. I love being a part of this process. I have been substitute teaching for 3 years, in all subjects and at all grade levels. I specialize in mathematics because it is an area I truly shine in, both personally and when teaching it! I have a knack for seeing what a student is struggling with and teaching it in a manner that they can understand. This is not something you will find in a public school district. I am also well-versed in common core methods, which I promise are nothing to be scared of! Tutoring and teaching is NOT just a job to me. I love helping children find success academically and build the confidence that they can achieve great things! It is also my philosophy that learning should be fun and skills can be taught and built in creative ways, not just ROTE. I am available to tutor grades K through 12 in mathematics and English studies. I also have two years of college level Statistics under my belt, which I received A's in both classes, and am confident in my ability to provide help in that area as well.
