Tutor in Long Beach, California
The students that I tutor get help with their homework, extra practice for upcoming exams and personalized instruction. Beginning with the first session I focus on content applicable to their existing math class. After assessing their work I can help fill learning gaps and develop a foundation for understanding math. Merely teaching math skills and processes is not enough. Assuring that students can demonstrate a mastery of mathematical concepts is critical for success.
I am an energetic and innovative teaching professional with the ability to bring lessons to life and cultivate eager and active learners. I teach the fundamentals, enhance student academic skills and prepare them for state assessments based on the Common Core Standards.
Success begins with identifying individual learning styles and providing differentiated instruction.
