I received a bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida, specializing in Astronautics. I have additionally taken a number of graduate level courses towards a Master of Software Engineering degree. During my time at Embry-Riddle I attained membership in several honor societies, and graduated with honors. Additionally, I hold an FAA commercial pilot certification, with instrument, single and multi-engine ratings. I am passionate about aviation, mathematics and computer science. I currently work as a senior software developer for a flight simulation company in Seattle. Prior to this, I've worked as a flight simulation engineer. I find that this field of work allows me to combine my greatest interests. I've begun building and working with computers at an early age, writing my first programs in Visual Basic, then moving to C/C and C#. I enjoy the opportunity to teach these topics to others.
