Tutor in Grand Rapids, Michigan

I am a high school and college mathematics tutor. I taught mathematics at the high school and college level for 46 years. I have tutored mathematics for the past six years with considerable success. My schedule is flexible and I am willing to drive a reasonable distance for tutoring sessions. I do prefer to tutor in a local library which is well suited for tutoring purposes. I emphasize teaching concepts and work through exercises to reinforce the learning. I do understand that many students have difficulty fully understanding mathematical concepts. Knowledge of subject and patience are my greatest assets. I received my degree in mathematics at Colorado State University. I received my Masters degree in mathematics at Western Michigan University. Following is a list of courses that I have taught and tutored: Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II (sometimes referred to as Advanced Algebra), Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus - including Advanced Placement Calculus, Discrete Mathematics - often included in Pre-Calculus, Statistics and Probability.
