I'm an
Individual
Hello! My name is Ty Van Roy. About Me: I am currently a Junior at the University of Florida pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering. For all of my life, I have had a passion for teaching — for getting to know an individual, breaking down a concept or a technique in such a way that it becomes easy for that individual to understand, and the joy that comes with it. Since high school, one of my biggest hobbies has been to help other students, both fellow classmates and others, in whatever it is that I feel capable. Qualifications: I currently hold a 4.0 GPA and have secured a 4.0 in each of the following courses (relevant to what I feel qualified to tutor in): Calculus I Calculus II Calculus III Physics I Physics II Differential Equations I have tutored several students in both private and group lessons throughout the past 4 years in various disciplines of Mathematics as well as Computer Science. I would place the amount of individual students I have tutored at around 50. Business: I understand that I am still a university student and that I am in a position where I must be flexible on the financial aspect. Payment would of course depend on the material and hours, but as a student, I wouldn’t feel comfortable charging high prices. Just inquire! I’m sure we can work something out which would make everybody happy! As for subjects I am comfortable tutoring in: - Any mathematics below Calculus I below (including and especially Calculus I) - Physics I (with or without calc) - Calculus III - AP Computer Science (secondary level) or Programming Fundamentals I and II (university level) - Lastly, I am especially interested in helping anybody seeking instruction in computer programming (even if outside of the classroom).
