Hello, my name is Chris. I've been tutoring middle school, high school, and college students over the past few years in math, physics and chemistry. I have worked as a pharmacy technician, an EMT, and practical effects for a local film school. What draws me to teaching is my own experience as a student having difficulties with math. I was fortunate to have found myself with passionate tutors and professors who ignited an affinity for numbers and functions that has changed my career path to Computer Engineering. I plan to pick up a minor in Applied Mathematics as well. I focus on not only improving grades but "the big picture", preparing you or your student for future classes and requirements. I usually will review quickly over what the student has discussed in class, offer a short preview of what they can expect to see, discuss some applications or context for material, and then work through problems to bring about rapid progress. Because each student is unique and requires a tailor made curriculum, I offer to have a no charge meeting to discuss difficulties, expectations, and what I can offer. This semester my schedule is most free Tuesdays and Thursdays as well as all day weekends.
