Howdy, Are you in need of a professional Deejay for an event in your life or a party you are organizing? Have you ever thought about what it would be like to be a Deejay yourself? Wether it be Mixing records & matching beats in front of your friends or taking it a step further, doing it professionally and spinning for live shows in front of tons of screaming Fans? Are you a connoisseur of good music, spun organically by ear and not by laptop & sync button? Hi, my name is Sam Popp and if you answered yes to any of the above questions, Well.. Then look no further, for you've clicked on the right link!:) Sam's Your Man!:) I am a DJ who lives smack dab in the centre of Hollywood. I have been djing for just about 12 years now and have done a wide range of shows, playing in front of hundreds and occasionally thousands of people at a time, working for companies such as Chronic Candy/Chronic Ice Tea & Kush Boys Couture, Along with Porn Star Skateboards, touring as company DJ/Mc/Host all over the country at major shows, concerts, skate tours and comps. I'm Sponsored by Ruleo Clothing & Third Eye Visionaires (3EV) clothing & party productions. I've had my own Radio show, two different seasonal segments called What's Poppin'(Spin off my last name:) & Bass Submission Radio, for 4 years running on a very prominent radio website called XSite media @........com, broadcasted & syndicated all over the world. I still have a good standing & welcome slot on the radio station anytime I want to work a season as well. Anyway, my resume is pretty decent and I'm confident I can meet any requirements you may have to great satisfaction. I have a solid set up of all pioneer gear, a Djm800 & Cdj1000Mk3's along with receiver & "conservative"speakers, able to cater to average size parties, backyard parties, weddings, birthdays etc., (I have a connection for speakers of higher wattage if requested at a nominal fee for larger parties), I have everything required for tudoring sessions needed to get more than the basics down. I have previous experience tutoring people in the art of Turntablism with quite successful students in a wide range of corriculums, Starting with getting to know the mixer, the various functions of all those knobs on the mixer and decks, to learning firstly, how to hear two different songs at the same time and secondly, how to distinguish between the speeds of those two tracks and finally, Being able to match those speeds to fade in a solid mix with those two tracks.. and many many more:) I can teach you how to mix any & all genres and sub genres of music, including being able to mix two separate genres together on a downbeat, which Is a term I will get you familiar with, as well as mixing on the right keys, to make harmonious & seamless mixes. I can even go into the basics of scratching & Beat Juggling as well & when your ready, teach you how to record & properly EQ your own mix & if interested, how to market yourself as a DJ when you have confidently progressed enough to do so. I am open to going into however many concepts you would like to get familiar with. I also produce music as well and can Tudor Logic Pro if interested, after graduating on from mixing music in the future. You can check out some of my mixes at www.....com, I have quite a few mixes on there, they are a variety, but not a huge variety exclusive to my talents, a lot of drum & bass & low key dub step on there, but as I said before, I can mix any genre on printed wax & I have thousands of songs of every kind of genre you can think of, house, electro, techno, drum & bass, dub step, hip hop, reggae, blues, rock, oldies and every sub genre in between the sheets. The mixes I have up are just descriptive of the genres I have focused a lot of time on from preference. You can check out photos, Show flyers, sponsor modelling prints previous gigs, Events/shows & radio shows on my Facebook www.....com or www.....com Archives. If you feel interested in contacting me after for an event or to discuss the possibility of being Tudored in the ways of Turntablism, feel free to contact me, you can text me anytime @ 310-998-..., it's better to call or text me, because I can't answer inquiries on this site in detail with out upgrading..(Which I have no trouble doing, after I verify that this site is worth the money and helps me reach new clientele of course, so don't be afraid to let me know you were referred by this site if it is so.) I live off of Hollywood & Gower to give you an idea of where I live as well. Anyhow, I look forward to Any business you may have need for in the future and happy hunting either way, Cheers! Sincerely Samuel V. Popp As far as my rate, it does say $30/hr But, if a new client pays for four classes up front, I do it for $100 which basically gives a $20 discount or makes it $25/hr depending on how you look at it. I do more of a discount with payment of more classes up front. I am a pretty reasonable person and highly value loyalty and I've been known to negotiate and come to certain arrangements with people who I've developed a positive professional rapport with. I do understand other obligations and responsibilities and occasionally have given specific deal packages accommodating their specific needs. That covers a broad spectrum of areas but, those things can be discussed upon further interaction. Please feel free to contact me anytime if you have any questions thank you!
