Individual
Ever felt like you always had to fight your way through your math classes, whether that be in middle school, high school, or even college? Does it sometimes feel like you can't learn math or that you are hopeless in ever becoming proficient? I know how daunting it must be to feel like you can't get a subject down as I've been through that road before. But you would be surprised just how far with a little confidence you can go if you believe in yourself and I can help you with that! My name is Kyle and I have been a Head Teaching Assistant at UC San Diego in Math for classes ranging that includes: Calculus I/II/III (AB,BC), Discrete Mathematics, and Vector Calculus. I majored in Probability and Statistics and I minored in Computer Science and Business. I have been rating with a positive rating of at least a 95% every time I TA for a class and I make it my goal in life to make sure that YOU come away from tutoring sessions feeling not only better about the subject material, but also feeling better about yourself. A few things my students have said about me: "I hate math but I love Kyle" "I did not have this TA, but i went to both of his midterm reviews and they were absolutely amazing. I really enjoyed his reviews because he's funny but also knows what he is doing. He also articulates how to solve the problems very well and helps you understand how to do the problems" "Kyle was very patient with students, and he encouraged us to not give up when we received grades on exams that we weren't happy with. He definitely gave me a confidence boost in my mathematical abilities. I wish he could be the professor" "Kyle really cares about his students and is passionate in how he teaches. He gives up additional time to create his own practice exams and conducts review sessions for our benefit. Of the TAs for my first quarter at UCSD, Kyle was the only one who took time to not only carefully go over problems but also genuinely love the subject. He deserves recognition and is a perfect example of what a TA in any section should be. In addition, Kyle offered support at difficult times and exemplifies what educators (or future to be educators) should strive for. His personality is friendly as well and the environment he conducts section and office hours in is conducive for learning." SUBJECTS I CAN HELP: Confidence, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, Trigonometry, Precalculus, Calculus AB-AP, Calculus BC-AP, Multivariable Calculus, Vector Calculus, Discrete Mathematics, Accounting, Logic, Probability and Statistics
