Tutor in Los Angeles, California
I can help you ace your Chemistry class!
If you are unsatisfied with a lesson, I will not charge.
My goal is to help you learn to study more effectively when alone. If that means we have only one session, so be it.
Suggested First Lesson
Before the lesson, I will give you a basic limiting reactant problem and ask you to text/e-mail me a picture of your solution. Your style will determine the content of our first lesson.
First, I'll introduce an often neglected problem solving method, which will improve the speed and clarity of your problem solving, and will help you rapidly review old problems. Using this method, I often finished General Chemistry exams in half the allotted time, then went back to look for mistakes. More importantly, you'll be able to examine how concepts relate to one another, allowing you to derive important results without relying on memorizing cause and effect.
Second, I'll discuss effective ways of studying and getting help.
We can meet either in a Starbucks, a library, the common room of my building, or another place of your choosing if it's close by.
