I started tutoring when I was 15 years old in Singapore. I have tutored students from various age groups starting from 5 years old to 17 years old. I also have the experience of teaching sunday school for kids as young as 4 years old and beyond. After arriving in Canada, I continued tutoring while I was doing my post degree diploma, in Vancouver Island University. Some of the children I taught were mildly autistic, and some were from a very poor income family, hence their reading or speaking level or even communication level was not high. However, I managed to break the ice, and was able to forge a friendship which allowed me teach them to read and speak in ease. There is a sense of satisfaction in seeing an improvement and I give my very best so that I can see the end result before I leave.
