I have always been passionate about teaching and that's why I never shy away from helping others around me. Naturally this transferred me from teaching my peers in classrooms to tutoring them in their homes. Being able to significantly improve the scores of every student of mine is surely great. Such great accomplishments have been made possible partly by having patience with my students, promoting active student participation, and effectively converting complex ideas into simpler ones tailored to each student's understanding level. Making sure that my students are always engaged and genuinely interested in learning has proven to be a great tool for their success. When I'm not tutoring or studying, I enjoy watching movies and playing recreational sports with my friends. I also love to undergo new adventures in New York City, as one can always find something worthwhile to experience daily. When the weather's not cooperating, my alternative for a great time is reading books. My two most favorite books are Better by Atul Gawande and The City of Djinns by William Dalrymple. A list of the subjects I tutor include: ACT Math, Prealgebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, SAT Math, Elementary Math, Biology, Chemistry, English (Upto College Level), AP Chemistry, AP Biology, College Level Chemistry, College Level Biology. I currently reside in Bensonhurst so my rate will depend on whether I have to commute to your household or meet at a mutually convenient location in New York.
