COLLEGE maths and sciences (e.g. MAC 1105, MAC 2311, STA 2023) COLLEGE programming classes I currently tutor include: COP 3233 (Intro to C), COP 3502C (CS1), COT 3100 (Discrete) SAT Math Preparation GED Preparation GRE Preparation Some of my scores and scholastic achievements are as follows: UCF GPA: 3.9 Successful Completion of Foundation Exam (top 10%) (2011) Upsilon Pi Epsilon Society for Computing and Information Discipline (April 2012 - Present) The National Society of Leadership (Jan 2013 - Present) Related Experience: Broward College, Math Tutor, Mathematics Department (2008 - ...) -Contributed to individual academic improvements up to 20% Mathnasium Tutor (Jan 2013 - Aug 2013) I have been teaching privately and in college math labs since 2008. I graduated with honors in August 2013 with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. I have been conducting one-on-one tutoring for over six years now. Mostly mathematics, and science. I have experience working with all skill levels, and enjoy making material clearer for students. I currently have 17 private students, and am looking to expand that to students who need better instruction and/or motivation. I have added as many as 25 students to my roster, and am looking to reach about 20 for Fall. When my spots open, they tend to evaporate quickly, so don't hesitate. I do teach groups, for those that are interested, and this comes with a lowered rate for each individual involved, but a higher overall rate (a win- win). I also give discounts to my families with multiple students if I can see their students back to back (if I'm coming to them). WHATEVER you do, make sure you retain someone who can TEACH and RELATE to kids (and adults). Many of my students are struggling with educators at their schools who have advanced degrees in their subjects, but who have no idea how to impart that knowledge at square zero or even square five. A quick determination of exactly how each student learns best is one of a good educator's fortes. My methods are thorough but efficient, and tailor-made to your student! I have had students use my services for their entire undergrad career. Most of my students are with me two hours or 90min in a session, but those with higher grades can sometimes get away with one hour. Some see me once a week for that time, and some twice or even three times. We can work out whatever suits your student's needs and whatever fits within your budget. Some recent results are as follows: Joey E. - Valencia MAC 1114 - C to A Joey E. - Valencia MAC 2311 - A Joey E. - Valencia MAC 2312 - A Zack F. - Lake Nona HS Algebra 2 - D to B Parker G. - Lake Nona HS Algebra 2 Honors - C to A Sarah M. The folks mentioned above would happily talk to you and they send me referrals regularly. Reply to this ad, and I will send my email contact information. Thanks for your interest, and hope to be helping your student soon! ***NOTE** As of June 1, 2014, I am only accepting students with intentions to have at least regular weekly sessions. Unfortunately, I don't have the space/flexibility for occasional visits at this time with my student load, but thanks for your interest.
