I received my PhD from U.C. Berkeley where I won multiple teaching awards. I have worked individually with middle school, high school, and college students from Mills College, U.C. Berkeley, College Preparatory School, Head-Royce, and Bentley in the East Bay and from Eton in Great Britain, helping them develop and refine their writing and reading skills. Noted for my patience, kindness, and humor, I have tutored both the academically gifted and the learning challenged. An award-winning, published author, I am also expert at guiding students through the process of writing application essays that show them in the most positive light possible and give them a leg up on the college and secondary school admissions process.
