My name is Isiah! I graduated laude with a degree in both Political Science and History from Tusculum University in Greeneville, TN. While attending college I served a peer tutor for four years. As a peer tutor I tutored fellow students in English, Political Science, History, Religious, Philosophy, Environmental Science, and Psychology courses. I successfully helped numerous students pass their courses with a grade of a B or higher. My college's professors became aware of my intellect and superb tutoring skills, that I was the only student selected to join a faculty committee to edit and revise a textbook for a course titled "Political Traditions of the West." In addition to my role as a peer tutor in college, as Student Body President I worked with local non-profits and schools, to start an after-school tutoring/mentoring program. In addition to my bachelor degrees, I also have a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from the University of Iowa College of Law. While in law school I worked with a local non-profit to help establish a law school tutoring/mentoring program at one of the local high schools. Our program was successful in ensuring dozens of students graduated high school with knowledge about the process of attending both college and law school as well as the skills they need to be successful professional students. During law school I worked as a law clerk for judges, a local public defender's office, and a wrongful convictions division. I have worked in legal aid for the past year 1/2. I have primarily specialized in landlord tenant law, public benefit law, consumer law, family law, and some tax law. In addition to working in the legal field, for the past two years I have managed my own private tutoring business. I have tutored students in an array of topics and have successfully helped them past their courses. My average rating has been 4.8 out of 5 stars. I am currently transitioning to a career in teaching high school social studies, while I pursue part time graduate studies in "Intellectual History." I believe in providing both competent and knowledgeable tutoring assistance to better ensure you reach your academic goals.
