Who I am: I have over 8 years of tutoring experience, and have worked with all ages of students- elementary to college. I graduated laude with a B.S. in Environmental Science and am a freelance writer. I am currently tutoring elementary, high school, and college students. I am patient, engaging and nonjudgmental. I believe that everyone has intelligence and am passionate about helping them find it. I look forward to working with you or your child, making what was hard easy and even enjoyable! My philosophy: When tutoring, I tune into the needs of the student. I listen deeply for what is hard, confusing or distressing and then help clear up the block with new approaches or techniques. I also help the student uncover the line of thinking that propels them in that subject, helping them alleviate their stress in that subject long term. I get to know the student, relating to the subject to what is alive for them. I also believe that humor and fun are critical to the learning process. I create a learning environment that is fun and lighthearted.
