Though a soon-to-published scientist, I proficiently speak five languages, work at a literary magazine on campus, write fiction as a hobby, have taken a number of English classes, participated in fiction competitions, and major in philosophy. In short, I have a strong background in humanities. The academic rigor of Yale's philosophy major have inculcated me with strong argumentation and reasoning skills and an eye for clear, well-structured writing across disciplines.
As a computer science/psychology major as well, I have extensive programming experience in several programming languages. My research in neuroscience has led me to take a number of classes in data science, artificial intelligence, and biology, as well as a chemistry to understand the biochemical underpinnings of neural computation. Because my work requires a thorough understanding of modeling, I have taken all primary math courses through multivariable calculus and linear algebra.
