Tutor in Inverness, Florida

I am currently a senior at the University of West Florida and majoring in Elementary Education. I am looking to tutor elementary students in the Inverness, FL area after school at the local library for an hour on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I recently had to resign from my job as a Title 1 teaching assistant at a local elementary school in order to become a full time student and wrap up my education so that I can get in the classroom as a teacher as soon as possible. With this experience, I understand what is expected of students in the classroom and on those dreaded, but necessary, standardized tests that are such a focus in today's classroom. My strong suit would be reading and writing skills, but I could offer help in math as well. I would love to use my knowledge to help your student in a one on one atmosphere. Setting goals and attaining them inspires students to do their best and dig deeper. I am confident that can be achieved through hard work and focus- and also adding a little bit of fun while feeling good about themselves through their work.
