I am not only an experienced tutor of English and Language Arts, including reading and writing -- I am also a trained professional copy editor. In other words, my composition and grammar skills are impeccable. I've worked with children, teenagers, and adults in a variety of settings, from one-on-one work in schools and at home to leading small group workshops. You'll find me warm and supportive, but still focused on results. I won't do your homework for you! But I will hang in there until you figure it out for yourself, and I will help you refine your work until it's the best it can be. I am currently pursuing certification in adult TESOL instruction and particularly interested in working with English learners. I'm also happy to provide study-skills and homework support as well as Social Sciences and History tutoring. I can meet at your house or school, or at a local public library.
