I am a certified special education teacher with a drive to create something BIG. I am not a company or organization (yet!)- I am an individual with a passion for working with children with special needs and am committed to making a positive difference in their lives. TWC- Tutoring With Care is my vessel to provide academic, life-skills, and behavioral support for children with moderate-severe cognitive, developmental, and behavioral disabilities. For years it has been my dream to open my own school for special needs children. Over the past 5.5 years I have worked as both an assistant and teacher in special education classrooms for public schools, but in December of this year, I made the very difficult decision to resign. This choice, while extremely heart-wrenching, proved to be a blessing in disguise: it has provided me with the opportunity to begin pursuing my dream, and TWC is my first step. I hold a Master's degree in Special Education from UTSA and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Michigan State University (MSU). While I am NOT a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, I have completed all of the necessary course work and have extensive experience implementing the tools and techniques of Applied Behavior Analysis in the field.
