I am a sophomore in college earning a dual major in Aeronautical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in NY (similar to MIT and Caltech), and was also valedictorian of my high school class of 2014. I am very knowledgeable and I know how to explain difficult concepts in the simplest ways possible. I have a few years of experience tutoring friends and students from high school both older and younger than myself. As a current student in college and a recent high school student, I know how students learn and what helps students learn what they need to the fastest. Some tutors, and older teachers seem to forget how to explain concepts in ways that younger students can understand, and instead, try to always answer questions with professional and "politically correct" statements. I bring a student's perspective into learning which helps them learn and visualize concepts, so they can understand the more advanced terminology once they grasp main ideas. Also, I make sure students really understand material by asking questions and making sure they aren't afraid to say they quite haven't understood what we cover. We have all had times where certain material just doesn't quite "click" in our minds, so it's nothing to be ashamed of. I will always do my best to help students in a judgment-free learning atmosphere.
