I am a very easy-going, patient and understanding person. I graduated from the City University of New York (CUNY) with a BA in African Studies/Political Science and a minor in Sociology. My other interests include history, literature and foreign affairs; I am also really passionate about music and very curious about other cultures. I love talking to people from all kinds of backgrounds and I have always loved teaching English. One of the high points of my teaching experience was the two years I spent teaching English to students from Latin America - a fascinating adventure which broadened my horizons in so many ways. I use rich and diverse materials, including movies, songs and online articles, to make the learning process as fun, creative and engaging as possible. I work both with individuals and small groups (from 2 to 3 people). Many learners of English are stressed at the thought of making grammar and other mistakes. However, making mistakes is perfectly natural and nothing to be embarrassed about! With my help you will become much more at ease when speaking English, and I will also find ways to help you avoid repeating the same mistakes. Rest assured that I will always be patient and gentle. If needed, we will work on the basics of English grammar - a good command of grammar is crucially important for anyone who wants to be able to have good conversations in English ! You will also learn new words and expressions in an enjoyable way.
