Tutor in Miami, Florida

I am offering tutoring services to elementary, middle, high school, and college students in the Kendall - Miami area. Specifically, SAT/ACT prep in the areas of Reading/Writing Comprehension as well as grade school and college level Reading/Writing. I am willing to work on some math with students as well if necessary. Any other subject work (e.g. Elementary school material, middle school material, high school material, college entrance material such as personal statement essays, etc.) can also be considered. I am a 23 year old Pre-Medical student with a B.A. in Psychology and ongoing Minors in both Chemistry and Biology. I have taken several classes in general English, advanced English/Speech, and various literature. I have also taken math up to Calculus, general chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, genetics, and general biology I have worked with students both in my university and outside through personal recommendation. I worked in a program called Peer Led Team Learning at FIU where I learned basic and advanced pedagogy in order to work with fellow students leading them in different subjects of science. My Vision: I believe in driving students forward and having them solve problems and understand material themselves through careful guidance. Giving students the answers to questions does not help them learn in any way. Standardized test such as the SAT and ACT cannot be studied this way as each and every test has countless possible questions and answers. It is essential that the student be able to understand the material and come to the answer him/herself.
