I am a Law School Grad & Attorney with Credentials and References!! Presently I am staying with my mother in the New Port Richey/Trinity area, helping her convalesce following her recent surgery. I am very bored and have decided to get out of the house and tutor while I am here! Believe it or not, I very much LOVE LEARNING AND TEACHING AND HELPING PEOPLE LEARN! I have experience tutoring in the past and very much enjoyed it, and on the -side I also utilized the services of several tutors over the years as a student, so I feel I have a good understanding of what a good (and bad) tutor needs to do (or not do!) to be effective!!! To tell you a bit about myself and my qualifications, I attended University of Florida for my undergrad education, with a Major in Political Science and minor in Economics- it was while attending UF that I tutored on the side, both as a volunteer and in a paid capacity- gaining great experience! I graduated UF Magna Laud with a 3.97GPA in 2007. (Yes, all A's and one B !!!) From UF I attended a top tier law school, Southern Methodist University in Dallas, and again, graduated in 2010 with my Juris Doctorate at the top of my class ( Laud, 3.4GPA!!!) Finally, I took and passed the Texas State Bar Exam in 2011, scoring well over 100 points beyond the minimum required score, the MBE Section being by far, my strongest subject. I say these things not to brag but rather to let you know that I am a serious academic with the educational background to back it up. Also, I cannot belabor this point enough...THE VALUE OF A GOOD TUTOR IS PRICELESS!!!! As I mentioned, I utilized tutors myself while in high-school and undergrad and sincerely believe that if you can afford one, a tutor is BY FAR the best way to obtain a satisfactory grade in a subject you either hate, or are not the strongest in, and usually both occurring together! A tutor, whether its me or someone else, can truly be your best friend! Alleviating stress and freeing up wasted time by giving you dedicated one-on-one assistance that targets your learning needs and helps YOU learn the subject, not 30 other people at once as in a classroom setting! I can and will tutor anyone from Elementary students, Jr & Sr. High through Grad Students!! Whether you or your child is having a difficult time in English class, Spanish class, statistics, economics, history or virtually any other subject; or you are in undergrad and need help in a class or preparing for the LSAT or a law student in need of help tweaking your Legal Essay Exam writing style, and finally if you are preparing for the Bar Exam, I feel I could help you tremendously and at reasonable costs!! Obviously everyone has limits as to which subjects they are sufficiently competent to justify tutoring in, even myself :-). That said, there are few areas in which I do not tutor because I am aware that another tutor would be a better fit and should your request fall into one of these areas, I will be honest with you and provide a referral to someone better equipped in that subject matter! That said, I do indeed tutor ALMOST every subject!! . I will charge $29.00 for the first visit where I will spend at least an hour an a half- this way we can talk and get to know one another and still have ample time to work on the subject at hand! Should you find me helpful and want me to come back, each additional visit will be $25 for a 70 minute hour (NOT the "50 Minute hour" but rather 70 minutes!).
