Tutor in New Orleans, Louisiana

My love for tutoring has come from a long line of me receiving that aid myself. After graduating summa laude, I knew that I wanted to give that same help that got me that title, to other people. I specialize in English, specifically: ACT English, ACT Reading, writing, and comprehension. I also teach reading and penmanship. I have received a 33 on both the English and Reading sections of the ACT. I am a sociology and English double major. I have been published in magazines and I have performed my writing as well. Each tutoring session is shaped around that specific student. By doing this each tutoring lesson is then specific to that students way of learning so that they get the most out of the lesson. While I do focus on trying to get the best outcome on paper, I also work to build the students sense of success and accomplishment and confidence. I usually assign small homework assignments after every other lesson. Generally I am available during the weekday, from 11am to 1pm and then from 3pm to 9pm. I am available on weekends from 10am to 10pm. My base rate is $40/hour for both online and in person. I look forward to hearing from you.
