I am a recent post-graduate with an honours bachelor degree in English and History. Does your son/daughter shiver at the thought of studying Shakespeare or writing essays? Well every year of secondary school comes with a pre-requisite English class and in order to make their lives a little easier, that's where I come in! With high school classroom experience and a passion for all things literary, I offer a one-on-one approach to the problem spots of English class, such as reading Shakespeare, learning poetry, and of course, the dreaded essay writing. With experience working at a Kumon centre as head off reading, I am also available to build language and grammar skills for children aged grade 1 and above. I offer several lessons in grammar, reading and comprehension plus overall vocabulary. My base salary is 20$ an hour, but my rates are always flexible and I can make arrangements to travel to a more convenient location or at your residence. It is my goal to become an integral component in building your child's overall English ability with weekly sessions between an hour to two hours in length.
