Tutor in Anchorage, Alaska

I have been actively teaching AP Biology at the High School level as a part-time job from 2003-present. I earned my degree from the University of California, Davis in Genetics, spending 20 years in the field of Genetics and Biology as a professional scientist, teaching on the side. In the tutoring sessions I attempt to assess the student's weaknesses in their understanding of the core concepts quickly so as to maximize time spent on strengthening their areas of weakness, and can utilize timed drills with the AP Biology students to help them prepare better for taking the test under pressure. My hours and venues are flexible, depending on the needs of the student.
