Hello! My name is Kim and I live in the Smyrna, TN area. By day, I work for a non profit in Nashville developing curriculum and working with schools. In the evenings, I enjoy tutoring students in many subjects helping them understand and succeed in school. I am a former 5th grade teacher, and just love seeing students finally "get it!" I also am very active in my church working with students and teaching many classes. I am a wife and a mother to a 9 year old boy. Over the years, I have tutored multiple students in a variety of subjects. I have worked with students as young as preschool age developing reading, writing, and math skills all the way to high school students working on writing and a variety of math subjects, including algebra. Most students that I have worked with start seeing improvements within 4-6 weeks if not sooner. Each session is specifically designed to meet the needs of your child and work on the trouble areas they may have when attending school. I use a multi - disciplinary approach and a variety of techniques to help your child succeed. Over the last year, I have taken a student who made all D's and F's on report cards to all A, B, and C's.
