Tutor in Sacramento, California

Hi! I will soon be offering tutoring in reading and writing and other subjects. Please contact me if my services might be useful to you or someone else. My lessons will be offered at the Central public library in downtown and the McKinley public library. I'm a recent graduate of University of Chicago's MAPH (Master of the Arts in the Program of the Humanities) program. I have moved to the Sacramento area and so wanted to offer my help tutoring this summer. I would be more than happy to help students who are both in Summer School or just need something to do for the break. I have experience tutoring all levels of students, from elementary up to college. Thus my rates are $20 an hour, with a two hour minimum. My areas of special knowledge and ability are in reading and writing. I specialize in writing style, editing, and document-formation. The types of projects I can help with would be things like articles, reports, essays, and theses. Another area of specialty I have is reading comprehension. I actually wrote my master's thesis on rhetoric and the creation of understanding, so I'm particularly skilled at breaking down language and ideas, making them more digestible.
