Tutor in Madison, Alabama

I am a rising senior at Harvard College, who tutored students at various levels and on several subjects while at the university, and who is taking a gap year for research and my own studies. I want to offer my tutoring services, as well as my unique insight as a public-school student from this area applying to the nation's top schools (Bob Jones High School, class of 2012) to middle and high-school students in the Madison and Huntsville areas. My area of study is in Chemistry and Chemical Biology, and I am comfortable in offering instruction in many areas of the sciences and mathematics. Additionally, I am comfortable in certain areas of the humanities (i.e. Economics, History of the United States, etc.), in the college application and resume-building process, and in standardized test study skills, as I received a perfect score on the ACT in 2010. The rate that I am offering is $30/hr of personal instruction. I do not bill anyone for the time constructing a lesson plan, reviewing/grading problems, nor for the inertial assessment and Skype meeting. However, I recognize that many students, as I did, will have a difficult time affording these services. On a case-by-case basis, I am willing to discuss both a) reduced prices for individual sessions and b) group tutoring to reduce the price for individual students. I am willing to travel to students homes or other meeting places, host at my residence, and in certain circumstances, a lesson can be performed online.
