Hi there. I'm a PhD student in engineering at Vanderbilt, and I tutor students of all levels. I specialize in math and science, but I am pretty good at improving reading and writing skills too. I also tutor for standardized tests and edit college essays. I was offered multiple full tuition scholarships at top schools. In the end, I was paid to get an undergraduate degree. Improving your standardized test scores and application essay is one of the best investments you can make in your child's education. A few short hours can be what sets your student's college or scholarship application apart from his or her classmates'. My rates are detailed below: -middle school: $30/hr (all subjects) -high school: $35/hr (all subjects, including ACT/SAT) -college: $35/hr (chemistry, biology, physics, pre-calculus, calculus, and some types of engineering courses... ask for a quote. The variable rate is determined by the amount of prep I need to do before our session) -college/scholarship essay editing: depending on quality; ask for a free quote. Help with essay planning / writing is charged at hourly rate. If your student needs extensive help, we can talk about more flexible options that include weekly sessions or monthly commitments, and/or help via telephone, text, or skype throughout the week.
