Subjects offered (but not limited to): reading, writing, art and social studies for all ages, and elementary math. Please ask me if you have a special need that's not listed. Students with ADD, ADHD, dyslexia, autism, and NVLD respond well to my approach, as well as students of all ages and levels. My approach to learning is holistic and student-directed rather than a program I try to make students fit into. As an artist, writer, teacher, and poet, I understand how creativity can enhance the learning process. My students have ranged from a 3-year-old genius learning fractions to a 35-year-old man with ADD learning how to read, to an 8-year-old with a convergent eye problem, to a 56-year-old woman with dyslexia brushing up on her reading skills, to a college student with dyslexia who needed help writing papers, to homework support and ESL. An elementary education degree with a reading endorsement is where I started, with some special training and experience working with people who learn differently than the average person.
